Here’s yet another interview of upcoming artist Ranbir Kapoor, son of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor. Ranbir is nervous about his first release but at the same time is sure that he has given his best shot hoping not to disappoint anyone.

So, how nervous are you? Or should I say thrilled?

You know, honestly, I think it’s a mixture of all. Three-four days back, I was quite blank, I was in a state of zen. And I loved that feeling because I wasn’t nervous, excited or anxious. What are the advantages of having filmy background?
Sonam Kapoor: If I were not the daughter of Anil Kapoor, I would not have got this opportunity. It would have been very difficult.

The newest Kapoor to join films
Yes, we are all very happy for Ranbir, who is making his debut in Saawariya. Ranbir is my bhatija, Rishi’s son, and naturally my best-wishes and blessings go out for him. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is a very good filmmaker and I’m optimistic the film will do well. Being his first film, I’m certainly looking forward to it more than Kareena’s next film. Both my daughters, Karisma and Kareena, have added to the Kapoor’s family’s fame. I’m sure Ranbir will do the same.

Sony Pictures and Future Groups, in an unique marketing tie-up, go hand in hand for merchandising for their forthcoming film Saawariya, with its leading stars Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor to promote the products.

The Group expects to earn over Rs 25 crore from the limited edition Saawariya product range that it will introduce by mid October. The range will be available till December 31.

Sony Pictures is likely to earn between 4 per cent and 10 per cent from the sale of the products. (more…)
