I just saw d movie,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,it was really good,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,it was different frm the usual movies,,,,,,,,,,,,i mean d sets ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,d acting,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,d music,,,,,,,,,,,,,,everythng and really dese newcomers Ranbir and Sonam were good( de seemed to me ) it didnt look as if it was dere first movie,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,d story was simple but really brought out very well ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I must say u ppl shud go and watch d movie,,,,

I went to catch Saawariya solely for Mr. Bhansali’s direction as I felt that a film-maker who cud churn out crores even after making Devdas( made 2wice earlier) and did absolute justice to a sensitive film like Black, cud ne’er go wrong wid White night’s adaptation.

i must say I was expectin a diff ending( I’d already read a synopsis on Wiki)..but was glad that Mr. Bhansali stuck wid de buk. Da movie did disappoint in the narration, but it was well covered up by the MAGNIFICENT n outta this world performnces by both Ranbir and Sonam. Raj’s character is a treat to watch while Sakina brings alive that old world charm.

saawariya doesnt deserve thekinda thrashing its receiveing. I’ve seen it twice nd wil definitely buy the DVD wen its out.

and Ranbir,
u have given de best and the most heart-wrenching performance I’ve seen by an Indian Actor….

saawariya actually did’nt flop …it jus made a special place in every body’s heart.
for those who understand poetry..know it that saawariya was no less than a poetry on screen and it brought alive all the colours of life..from the happy ranbir raj ..to old and grumpy lillian in search of love…to the pains of life hidden in lieu of smiles and to the wait of love and it just goes on…..never mind if saawariya did’nt work well ..ppl will take time to understand a poetry like such..even shri raj kapoor’s film teesri kasam got recognition later and went on to become an evergreen classics.
